A federal jury in New Jersey has ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay $890 million to plaintiffs who alleged the company’s talcum powder products caused ovarian cancer due to asbestos contamination.

The verdict, one of the largest product liability awards in recent years, covers 22 plaintiffs who brought claims against the consumer goods giant.
